For Summer 2008, try Jewish summer camp with a grant from The Jewish Federation!

The Jewish Federation, in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camping, The Jim Joseph Foundation and the Jewish Community Foundation is delighted to announce that grants of $1,500 to the following camps are available for first-time campers residing in the Greater Los Angeles area:

Camp Alonim
Camp Gan Israel
Camp JCA Shalom
Camp Mountain Chai
Camp Ramah in California
Camp Tawonga
Habonim D’ror Camp Gilboa
URJ Camp Newman
Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps

Our goal is to make it possible for new campers to take advantage of the diverse, growth-enhancing, fun and friendship-building Jewish camping opportunities in our community! Grants are available to campers meeting specific eligibility requirements and may be used for a session longer than two weeks at any of the residential Jewish camps listed. Second year grants of $500 available to families who participated in the 2007 camp incentive program. This is not a financial need-based grant.
