The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo Present the 10th Annual Cinema & Television Master Class
A two-week intensive seminar with Hollywood’s luminaries, in Tel Aviv, Israel Joan Hyler and Danny Sussman, co-chairs The Tel Aviv/Los Angeles Partnership’s Cinema & Television Master Class celebrates the next generation of partnership in film and television by returning to Israel! The seminar will take place on June 3-13, 2008. Ten talented entertainment professionals will be recruited to travel to Tel Aviv to team up with Israeli counterparts, where they will learn from leading Masters in the entertainment industry. Past masters have included Jon Avnet, Jonathan Littman, Alfred Molina, Nina Tassler and Marc Platt. The 2008 Master Class will examine the role of the actor in creating successful film and television projects from development through distribution. The program will offer intimate seminars and meetings with high-level Masters, and include excursions in Tel Aviv and throughout the country as Israel celebrates its 60th Birthday. This is a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Israel and network with international film professionals. The Jewish Federation and Municipality of Tel Aviv underwrite the cost of participants’ accommodations, ground transportation, most meals and the program itself. Participants are responsible for covering their own airfare, some meals, and personal expenses. The Tel Aviv/Los Angeles Partnership and Entertainment Division of the Federation sponsor the Cinema & Television Master Class to encourage Israel – Diaspora relationships for the benefit of both communities. The program is open to directors, writers, producers and actors. Applications are no longer being accepted for 2008.
