Annual Campaign - General Fund

Your single gift to the Annual Campaign helps alleviate Jewish poverty, provide emergency relief, ensure a Jewish future and support the greater Los Angeles community.

• Donors increasing their gift to the 2009 Annual Campaign may direct the amount of the increase to one or more of our causes.

Serving the Vulnerable The Federation is at the heart of a nimble, responsive and formidable network of individuals and organizations with the power and the will to help those in need. We use the power of network and our thoughtful analysis to meet unmet community needs, providing services that run the gamut from meeting basic food needs to in-home services to job training.		$

Leadership As we build community, our central focus and vision is upon the new generation. Together, as intergenerational partners, we must continue to build and repair the world, exchanging our different points of view. As the new generation assumes leadership, we must support their efforts. Together, we must evolve new ideas and new offerings, leading the Federation to be exceedingly relevant and unencumbered.		$

Israel & Overseas By creating a shared Jewish identity and destiny that connects the Los Angeles Jewish community to Israel, world Jewry, and the entire Jewish people, we strengthen the Jewish future for us all. It happens through people-to-people connections and institution-to-institution direct involvement, promoting lasting change and providing a means to make the transition from charity to partnership.		$

Community As Jews, we know all too well the importance of finding ways to live together with our neighbors of different faiths and nationalities. The Federation actively builds bridges between the Jewish community and the community at-large. Acceptance, understanding and tolerance are the result of a host of activities in which we actively engage in order to fulfill the mandate of tikkun olam, the healing of the world.		$

Education To have a strong, Jewishly committed community in the future, it is critical that we provide today’s children and young people with ways to experience Jewish living that are powerful, innovative, relevant and lasting. It happens in day school, in Jewish summer camp and at all stages in a young person’s life.		$
