Did you know?
This year, Chanukah comes early, and two new exciting events have been planned to celebrate the Festival of Lights! Held just one week apart, these parties will offer young Jews in Los Angeles the chance to celebrate Chanukah in two unique ways.
On Saturday, December 1st, the Young Professionals Divisions of The Jewish Federation will be hosting a Chanukah party at X Bar, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City. The event, which begins at 8pm, will feature great music and delicious food, and will include a toy drive for children through several of the Federation’s beneficiary agencies.

One week later on Saturday, December 8th, Taglit-birthright israel and JDub Records will sponsor the first-ever multi-city Chanukah concert event series, The 8. All held simultaneously, The 8 will celebrate the Festival of Lights with parties held across the country and the world, with other locations including New York, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Tel Aviv, Moscow, Sydney, and Mumbai. The 8, which will be held at 8pm at the Echo Plex club, will feature music from up-and-coming artists Balkan Beat Box and Dengue Fever, and will also feature a unique menorah lighting ceremony.
