Federation’s Organizations Assembly Honors Valley Women for
Making A Difference Within the Community
The Jewish Federation recently honored 27 women at the annual
Organizations Assembly, an event of The Jewish Federation Valley
Alliance Women’s Department that serves to honor outstanding
women who have made a difference in the Jewish community.
Each year, The Jewish Federation pays collective tribute to
an exemplary group of women who are singled out for their social-action
and philanthropic contributions to the Jewish community. Their
contributions are made as individuals through various Jewish
organizations, sisterhoods, synagogues, day ad religious schools
and Jewish preschools.
More than 25 organizations were represented at this year’s
Organization’s Assembly, held this year on September 18
at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills. Collectively,
these efforts help fulfill the life-saving work of the Federation
and help perpetuate a strengthened Jewish community. This year’s
honorees, a distinguished and self-less collection of women,
have each made a significant impact toward improving the lives
of others.
At the event, guests learned about the Federation’s KOREH
L.A. literacy program and PJ Library, a new monthly Jewish book
gifting program for children between the ages of 6 months and
5 years, thanks to the generosity of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation
and donors of The Jewish Federation Valley Alliance.
