2012 Master Class in Film & Television
Tel Aviv, Israel – June 20th-July 1st

Our Federation funds a number of programs that connect local community members directly with our family in Israel. These connections forge strong personal relationships, and a shared understanding of Jewish peoplehood, while strengthening Jewish identity for all. One of this is our Master Class in Film & Television.

For 14 years, the Master Class in Film & Television, a program of our Tel Aviv/Los Angeles Partnership, has been a unique way for up-and-coming entertainment professionals in Hollywood and Israel to team up to learn from one another and develop enduring friendships – not to mention collaborations that have led to produced work in film, television, and music. This game-changing experience takes place over the course of ten incredibly inspiring and intense days and puts participants from Los Angeles and Israel on a first-name basis with some of the biggest names in Hollywood – all of whom are there to share their expertise! Darren Starr, Ed Zwick, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer and Marta Kauffman are among the past Masters who have participated. Graduates have gone on to win major awards and get the green light for projects they developed in the class in which they eat, sleep and breathe the business they love.
