Centennial Super Sunday
The KOREH L.A. staff was proud to participate in The Jewish Federation's Centennial Super Sunday! In addition to holding a KOREH L.A. training at Congregation Ner Tamid in Rancho Palos Verdes, KOREH L.A. team members spent the day working on beautification projects in both the city and the valley. In the morning, we worked with 30 volunteers and parents to beautify Richland Elementary School where we painted gates, planted flowers, and cleaned up the school's one acre garden. Our afternoon at CSUN's Hillel consisted of joining 75 volunteers in giving the building an "extreme makeover" by painting, landscaping, and assembling new furniture. It was a pleasure to work with enthusiastic volunteers from all over Los Angeles and to celebrate The Jewish Federation's 100th anniversary.
