February Literacy Events in Los Angeles
The celebration of Black History Month and Valentine's Day provide ample inspiration for extra-special story times during February!
All Barnes and Noble locations will be hosting a Valentine's Day story time on Saturday, February 11, at 11:00 AM. Bring your sweetheart for a reading of Plant a Kiss by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
The Central Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library will also be hosting a Valentine's Day-themed story time on Saturday, February 11, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Songs, stories and a puppet show are sure to make it a special day.
A Black History Month story time will be held at the Barnes and Noble store located at the 3rd street Promenade on Monday, February 13, at 11:00 AM. Take advantage of this special event to spark a meaningful conversation about Black History month with a child!
