On November 5, 2007, many people gathered at Strathern Street Elementary School's library to celebrate the tenth library restocked by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.. With over 1,100 new books lining the shelves and a KOREH L.A. banner on the wall, the library looked amazing! Mrs. Vines' second grade class performed poetry and gave Tracy Underwood, National Manager, Corporate Contributions, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., personalized thank you notes. Next, North Hollywood Senior Sergeant David Delgado in full police uniform, read a story to the class. At the end of the event, all of the second graders received books as gifts from KOREH L.A.

Dedicated Strathen volunteer, Muriel Beck, was also in attendance with her family to help us celebrate the event. Without the commitment of volunteers like her, and all of you, many children would not be getting the chance to gain the literacy skills so vital to a productive life. On behalf of all of us here at KOREH L.A., we would like to thank Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. and all of our volunteers. Your efforts make the world a better place and are truly inspiring.
