Staff Hello
Danielle Kraten is the new administrative assistant at KOREH
L.A. A graduate of UCLA with a BA in English Literature, Danielle
has an innate love of the written word. In addition to the
classics, she also studied children’s literature at the
University of Sussex in England – her favorite was J.M.
Barrie’s Peter Pan. She is looking forward to working
with a great team that works so hard to boost children’s
love of reading.
Staff Goodbye
Ashley Oliva has greatly enjoyed her year as
an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow serving as a literacy coordinator
for KOREH
L.A. She is taking her service experience as a community leader
to Israel where she will be for the next year to participate
in the OTZMA program. OTZMA will allow her to volunteer in
service-based cities throughout Israel, learn Hebrew, and live
on a kibbutz. She will miss the relationships she has made
with both her volunteers and LAUSD staff.
Ryan Hensman, an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow, would like to
thank KOREH L.A., the volunteers and the school staff for this
wonderful learning experience. He has gained new life and work
skills that he will utilize in graduate school. Ryan is looking
forward to becoming a high school educator.
