Yom Iyun - Funeral Practices (BOR) (The Jewish Federation)

The Funeral Practices Committee of The Board of Rabbis of Southern California/The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles presents

Underground LA: Burial & Mourning in Changing Times

A Yom Iyun for Jewish Clergy and Funeral Professionals

Keynote Speaker, Reb Mimi Feigelson

The Sacred Drama of Crossing Over

How we are born and how we are buried are two foundational stories that bracket our identity and lives. While we have no say about our birth, Reb Mimi will present a new conceptual framework for the Halachik rituals connected to burial and mourning.  The sources and questions presented are intended to open up new ways of thinking about one of the most vitally important transitions in our lives and lead us to strengthen our commitment to life.
