Tel Aviv / Los Angeles Twinning Program

Tel Aviv LA Partnership

Established in 1997, The Jewish Federation’s Tel Aviv/Los Angeles School Twinning Program connects schools in Los Angeles and Tel Aviv. This powerful initiative has impacted 60,000 students, parents, and faculty through jointly prepared curricula, teacher trainings, and delegation exchanges. Visiting students live with a host family and study history, literature, language, pluralistic Judaism, Zionism and the sciences at their partner school. The resulting connection between the students transcends the distance between Israel and L.A., transforms school cultures and creates a shared Jewish identity and destiny.

Film and Television Master Class

Each summer, the Partnership’s Film and Television Master Class accepts 10 midcareer professionals from Los Angeles to join gifted Israeli filmmakers in Israel to learn from Hollywood’s top Masters. Whether you’re a writer, director, music professional, or producer, spending an inspiring week in Israel at the Master Class is a great way to grow as an artist and achieve success in Hollywood. Past Master Class participants have produced projects developed in the program, and some have even gone on to win major industry awards.

Past Masters include Jon Avnet, Gail Berman, Richard Gladstein, Neal Moritz, Darren Star, Danny Sussman, Nina Jacobson and Nina Tassler.
