About YALA

YALA—Young Adults of Los Angeles—offers more than a hundred social, professional, volunteer, and leadership opportunities every year in one of the world’s most dynamic communities.

Based on Jewish values of community, education, and giving, YALA strives to be an inclusive space for Jews in their 20s and 30s to grow and connect through shared interests, experiences, and goals.

Want to explore LA and meet new people with similar interests? Our grassroots clusters offer dozens of opportunities to attend wine tastings, go on hikes and outdoor trips, join a running group, discover incredible food, make Shabbat dinner, and more. Join us!

A Culture of Giving

Our Chai and Ben-Gurion Societies are donor recognition groups for professionals in their 20s and 30s, whose gifts at $180+ and $1000+ to the Federation’s annual campaign provide access to exclusive events and opportunities. Through the generosity of our donors, the Federation is able to strengthen Jewish communities, develop groundbreaking initiatives, and provide essential relief aid in LA and around the world.
