2025 Security Grants for the Jewish Community

Our Jewish community has been facing unprecedented antisemitism, violent demonstrations, and worrying acts of aggression, which have required a rapid and comprehensive response.

Through a unique collaboration between JFEDLA, the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, and the Jewish Federations of North America’s 2025 Emergency Security Fund in partnership with The Tepper Foundation, $500,000 has been distributed to fund security personnel at Jewish institutions that serve children across Los Angeles. These include 31 synagogues, 12 schools, four camps, and five community centers and other nonprofits listed below. Informed by our shared Jewish value of pikuach nefesh (saving a life), we are protecting Jewish lives, preserving our institutions, and fostering safe Jewish environments where we can practice our religion and celebrate our tradition openly and fearlessly. This is the second time this trio of partners has awarded security grants over the past year. Combined with last year’s grants to 55 Jewish nonprofits, a total of nearly $2 million has now been awarded through more than 100 grants to help protect our community.
