
2026 Ben-Gurion Award Recipient
Brian Weisberg has been involved in the Jewish community his entire adult life. Beginning as a young adult in Arizona, he and two friends started the Young Leadership Division of Greater Phoenix; he co-chaired this group for three years. After moving back to Los Angeles in 2001, Brian founded JFEDLA’s Young Leadership Division of the Real Estate & Construction (REC) Network, which he chaired for three years. He followed that with service as REC Vice-Chair, while also dedicating his time to JFEDLA’s Board of Directors.
He attended the Ben-Gurion Society mission to Argentina in 2002. In 2006, Brian received JFEDLA’s Julius Ratner Young Leadership Award and currently chairs its nominating committee. Not long after attending the REC/Chairman’s mission to Amsterdam and Israel in 2008, Brian joined the National Young Leadership Cabinet representing Los Angeles from 2009-2015. During this time, he participated in missions to places such as Azerbaijan, St. Petersburg, Istanbul, Budapest, and Bucharest. Currently, Brian serves on the Caring for Jews in Need committee, which he has been involved with for 10 years.
Brian has been a commercial mortgage broker for 25 years.
