A special evening for teens in 8th-12th grade!
We’ll hear from Lia Abgarova, a former IDF soldier in the spokesperson unit.
Then we’ll meet with Penina Meghnagi, a Libyan Jewish refugee and chef in the kitchen of Kahal Joseph — the only Iraqi synagogue in Los Angeles. She will teach us how to make popular Israeli dishes.
Among the dishes we make, one will be part of Matkon Im Zikaron (A Taste of Memories), a program to honor the memories of fallen soldiers by cooking their favorite foods.
