Ahavat Chinam: Boundless Love, A Community Selichot Concert

Hosted by Maala, Ahavat Chinam is designed to bring together Jewish communities from across Los Angeles to prepare for the High Holidays as one united community. More than just an event, it is an opportunity to create new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of our Jewish community across congregations, generations, denominations, and backgrounds.

At the heart of this evening is the value of Ahavat Chinam—choosing love, respect, and unity even when we come from different perspectives. In that spirit, we kindly ask that politics be left at the door. Any form of participation—whether through music, a d’var Torah, spoken remarks, or other expressions—should remain centered on the themes of Ahavat Chinam, Selichot, and the High Holidays. We respectfully and sincerely ask that political viewpoints, commentary, or advocacy not be part of the program so that this gathering remains a welcoming, uplifting, and meaningful experience for everyone in attendance.

As a community partner, we simply ask that participating organizations help spread the word to their members through newsletters, email, social media, announcements, or other channels.
