About the Speaker: Richard Rasiej is a mathematician who worked as a life insurance actuary and as a structured finance analyst during his 30 year corporate career. After leaving the corporate world, he taught high school mathematics at Birmingham High School and the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies for seven years. After retiring from LAUSD in 2012, he became involved in math education research, working as a Visiting Research Scholar at the USC Rossier School of Education.
