“In the Darkroom of Refuge and Identity”

The USC Casden Institute proudly presents the 2019 Jerome Nemer Lecture featuring Pulitzer-Prize winning author Susan Faludi. Susan’s most recent book, In the Darkroom, won the 2016 Kirkus Prize for Non-Fiction and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and Autobiography, and was named one of the ten best books of the year by the New York Times. Susan currently teaches creative nonfiction at Harvard University and Smith College.

Susan’s lecture will be followed by a response given by Dr. Sharon Gillerman., Associate Professor of Jewish History and Kutz Chaur of Jewish History at Hebrew Union Colleg-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles.
