Is Religion Still Relevant in the 21st Century?

Rabbi David Wolpe will moderate a debate between the renowned religious skeptic and New York Times bestselling author Michael Shermer (The Moral Arc: How Science Leads Humanity Toward Truth, Justice, and Freedom), and Scott Shay, chairman of Signature Bank and author of In Good Faith: Questioning Religion and Atheism. The debate will contrast Shay’s view that the greatest threat we face today is the nation’s increasing abandonment of its religious heritage against Shermer’s belief that we don’t need religion today for a fulfilling life.
