Preschool Open House and Family Shabbat

Your preschool search ends here! The Preschool at Mishkon in Venice is opening its doors for a fun-filled evening for the whole family! Explore Mishkon’s Jewish preschool, connect with our community, let your child experience our students’ engaging enrichment activities, and enjoy a musical family Shabbat! After our open house, you are invited to attend Mishkon’s Community Shabbat with indie singer-songwriter Happie Hoffman.

Open House 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
You and your child will have the opportunity to explore our classrooms through interactive stations that replicate activities our preschoolers regularly enjoy during the school day. At The Preschool at Mishkon, we believe learning should be a joyful adventure, and our play-based approach nurtures each child’s social and emotional growth. During the open house, you’ll tour our space and meet current students and families, recent preschool graduates, teachers, staff, and members of our active parent network. It’s a great opportunity to learn more and engage in meaningful conversations about all our community has to offer.

Family Shabbat 4:45 PM – 5:00 PM
Join us as Rabbi Katzan leads a joyful, musical family Shabbat in our outdoor play yard! Every Friday, our preschoolers bake challah and gather for Rock Shabbat—an energetic celebration filled with singing and dancing. Rabbi Katzan performs their favorite interactive Shabbat songs and leads prayers that our preschoolers know by heart!

Community Kabbalat Shabbat Services and Dinner 6:00 PM
After our open house, you’re invited to join us for Mishkon’s Community Shabbat featuring world-renowned artist Happie Hoffman. A talented indie singer-songwriter with operatic training, Happie brings a warm, joyful spirit that shines through her soul-stirring Jewish music. Children love singing and dancing along and are often captivated by her beautiful voice and engaging presence.
