Your Vote Counts – Ballot Measure Forum

Hosted By The Jewish Federation

The letter Vav in Hebrew means “and,” which serves as a connector. With the November elections just two months away, we invite you to attend our Ballot Measure Forum – Part 1 of our Vav series – and connect your ideals with action at the ballot box.

Tuesday, October 9 at 6:00 PM
The Jewish Federation
6505 Wilshire Blvd

Sponsored by our Federation’s Community Engagement Initiative and held in partnership with Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Los Angeles, this initial program features a non-partisan panel of policy and election experts discussing housing issues in our region along with the four housing measures on the November California Sate ballot. Panelists will also touch on other key ballot measures that will have a direct impact in Los Angeles. Attendees will be bale to register to vote, request absentee ballots, and learn about additional ways to get involved with housing organizations toward solutions.

Moderators:

Dan Schnur — Professor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communications and UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, and Director for the California Influencers project

Panelists:

Renee Chanon — Former President, League of Women Voters of Los Angeles

Wendy Greuel — Member of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority Commission and former Los Angeles City Councilmember and City Controller
