Our Community Security is a Top Priority

We are deeply concerned about the dramatic rise in antisemitism and direct attacks on Jews worldwide. We condemn last night’s attack on Jews by a pro-Palestinian mob in a restaurant in West Hollywood.

Our Community Security Initiative (CSI) is working directly with local law enforcement to make sure that the perpetrators are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This is a hate crime and should be treated as such.

CSI is reaching out to all our partners across the community to assure them that our Federation will do everything to protect their institutions and our Jewish community. Tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM, Jewish Federation Los Angeles and our CSI will be holding an emergency briefing with local and national law enforcement and local officials to address these pressing and deeply concerning issues. You will receive a follow-up email later today with a link to register for the briefing.

Words have consequences, and we hope and pray that the individuals and organizations that have been spreading hate will stop and that others across the country and around the world will speak loudly and forcefully against hate speech and antisemitism.

In solidarity,
