GIVING HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS THE LOVE THEY DESERVE
Honoring Holocaust survivors is one of the most meaningful ways to build loving Jewish community. We celebrated Holocaust Survivor Day by coming together with the Café Europa community for a special luncheon that recognized the resilience, wisdom, and strength of these community treasures. In partnership with Jewish Family Service LA, Seed the Dream Foundation, and Kavod Shef, survivors received the admiration and appreciation they have earned while dancing to joyful klezmer music and meaningfully connecting with our community.

CELEBRATING PRIDE MONTH JEWISHLY
An inclusive community is a joyful community. To close out Pride Month, our partner JQ International hosted a vibrant young adult Pride Shabbat in West Hollywood, with support from our young adult initiative, NuRoots. The evening brought people together for an inspiring celebration of community, music, meaningful conversation, and connection, welcoming friends old and new to celebrate Shabbat in a space that embraced the diversity of Jewish life. Events like this create spaces where people can show up as their full selves while building lasting Jewish community.

INTRODUCING THE NEXT GENERATION OF JEWISH LEADERS
Teaching the next generation means investing in their potential today. We proudly announced the Class of 2030 Brawerman Fellows, an exceptional group of high school seniors from across Los Angeles who will carry our shared values into the future. This year marks an exciting new chapter for the Fellowship. Through the enduring legacy of Geri Brawermanz”l, the program expanded from four Fellows to eight, with each recipient now receiving $60,000 in scholarship support over four years. Through scholarships, overseas travel, team-building retreats, and mentorship, the Brawerman Fellowship equips young leaders with the skills, experiences, and community they need to build the thriving Jewish future we all want to see.
