The BRCA Founder Outreach (BFOR) Study is an innovative research initiative that uses an online platform and other novel approaches to health care delivery to address a longstanding, unmet need: access to screening for BRCA mutations. It has a significant potential to save lives and advance progress in the emerging field of precision medicine. The BFOR Study provides genetic testing for common BRCA mutations for women and men of Ashkenazi (Eastern European) Jewish ancestry, age 25 or older, in four metropolitan areas.
