Richard Sandler, Chair of the Board of The Jewish Federations of North America, is one of the leading lay leaders in American Jewish life. He joins Jay’s 4 Questions to discuss the intersection between his family life, his professional life, and his life as a lay leader and philanthropist. He talks about his involvement and passion for the Jewish community and the impact of his first Federation mission trip to Israel on his life. As former Chair of the Board of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Richard Sandler has been at the forefront of the Jewish community. He discusses the role of Federations in our community as conveners to bring everyone together — right, left, center, religious, non-religious, secular, and other. Jay and Richard also talk about the many challenges and opportunities facing the Jewish community, locally, nationally, and around the world.
