CSI offers innovative Jewish-centric security training to enhance the safety of our community against evolving threats. All training is developed internally by subject matter experts utilizing the latest intelligence collected by the CSI Analysis Center and resources from partner agencies, including many private-sector organizations and dozens of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. CSI’s extensive network of security and intelligence professionals enables us to provide premier security training within the hyperlocal threat context of Jewish Los Angeles. Most security trainings available to communities are based on fear. The goal of CSI trainings is not to instill fear, but to empower and equip participants with tools that increase their survivability.
Community Awareness Training (CAT) — 1.5 hours
CAT is an essential course designed to empower congregants and community members to overcome fear by leveraging the collective strength of a united Jewish community. Participants will develop a “culture of vigilance” that will strengthen the security apparatus of any congregation or community. Participants will be prepared to identify bad actors on the path to violence and be equipped with actionable steps for early intervention.

Surviving Active Threats (SAT) — 1.5 hours
We live in a complex threat environment where vehicle rammings, active shooters, and even civil unrest are real dangers that can impact the Jewish community at any given moment. This training equips participants to think critically in a crisis and enhance their survivability in potentially fatal encounters.

Project Safe Classroom (PSC) — 1.5 hours
After reviewing government and law enforcement research on the active shooters phenomenon and identifying security and lockdown shortfalls in our classrooms, Project Safe Classroom was born. Project Safe Classroom empowers educators with the tools and training to keep their students safe during an attack.
We distribute purpose-built lockdown bags and provide necessary training on the methodology and effective use of the bags. Each Project Safe Classroom delivery entails a full hour of onsite training for all educators and administrative staff. Each Project Safe Classroom kit includes carefully researched and tested equipment designed to mitigate the impact of an active shooter incident and effectively help lock down a school classroom. From locks and tools to much-needed first aid and emergency medical equipment, every item has been carefully selected for this special program.

De-Escalation Training (DET) – 1.5 hours
The Los Angeles metro area experiences some of the highest rates of drug abuse and mental illness. This course will help you manage potentially dangerous encounters with individuals displaying distraught and erratic behavior. Our experienced instructors will equip you with a step-by-step process to tactfully neutralize escalating situations.

Essentials of Stop the Bleed —

Learn to treat fatal blood loss during this official U.S. Department of Defense approved course. Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventative deaths. A person can bleed out within 3 to 5 minutes. On average, it takes first responders 7 to 10 minutes to arrive at the scene. This course equips participants with vital skills needed to survive traumatic bleeding from accidents, violence, natural disasters, and other unforeseen traumatic events.
