OurSpace L.A. Participant Celebrates Bar Mitzvah
With the support from officiants Rabbi Ed Feinstein from Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, Hazzan Mike Stein from Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills, and Mike Sirota, OurSpaceLA created this virtual simcha for a special family that moved out of state.
Having been part of CJ’s Jewish education from a young age, it was obvious that OurSpace would help him prepare for becoming a bar mitzvah regardless of the distance. Mike Sirota, OurSpaceLA b’nei mitzvah tutor extraordinaire, flew to be with the family for the special weekend after months of online preparation, while coordinating the entire service with Rabbi Feinstein and Director of OurSpaceLA Susan North Gilboa. When the time came for the celebration, CJ was surrounded by his immediate and extended family, and virtually by more relatives, friends, and the OurSpaceLA community.
