PresenTenseLA 2014 Fellows Ilana Ross and Joseph Shamash are using personal storytelling and film to connect disparate populations and create social change. Ross’s initiative, Share Our Stories, teaches the history of the Holocaust to students in Los Angeles, encouraging them to think critically and express themselves. Shamash’s organization, The One Wish Project, aims to bridge the gap between marginalized groups and people in conflict through film and education.
