Today begins a new era of hope for the Jewish people. We are elated that the hostages are finally home. For the past two years, their absence has been a visceral reminder of our community’s collective agony.
Fittingly, Simchat Torah starts tomorrow. On Simchat Torah, as we celebrate the completion and renewal of the reading of our holiest book, we will sing and dance in the streets, cherishing the Book of Life that brings us life.
This Thursday, our community will gather at the Saban Theatre for United in Memory: L.A. Remembers October 7th, which takes on new meaning in the light of today’s developments. Thursday is a memorial event. It is also a celebration of everything we’ve been praying for and working toward finally becoming reality. We will let joy back into our lives.
