It’s been one year since the wildfires upended life across Los Angeles. In the face of historic loss, you took decisive action, alongside Jews from across the country, revealing the resilience of our entire Jewish community. Because of your generosity, JFEDLA did what we were built to do in moments of crisis: put your values in action, quickly. We fed the hungry. We opened doors to those who needed shelter. And we comforted those calling out for support. We allocated resources strategically, mobilized trusted partners, and helped set our city on the path to recovery.
Below, please find our Wildfire Crisis Relief Fund: One Year Impact Report, which shows how your kindness brought relief from Pasadena to Pacific Palisades. You helped reduce tuition for 208 children affected by the fires at Jewish early childhood centers and summer camps through our Helping Uplift Generations (HUG) Fund. You prepared meals for 9,000 displaced individuals at Our Big Kitchen LA. You delivered 5,651 hours of wildfire-related legal services with Bet Tzedek. You connected 2,500 people to expert trauma care at Maple Counseling. And with our friends and neighbors enduring the unimaginable, you provided life-sustaining help in so many other ways.
We invite you to download and share our report to see the full scope of what you made possible, and how your investment continues to rebuild lives across Los Angeles.
