Holy Land Democracy Project
In Los Angeles and America, our students have the right to an open and balanced education resting on the values of our democracy. In Israel, students similarly have access to a well-rounded education in a free and open society.
As an integral part of our Israel advocacy and education efforts, the Federation promotes the understanding of Israel as a just and fair nation with deep religious relevance for the diverse communities of our city.
The Holy Land Democracy Project brings Israel education to charter, private and religious schools throughout Southern and Central California. We do so by taking educators to Israel, for a first-person experience with the Holy Land, and upon their return we provide an interactive curriculum for them to share their knowledge with students - and create opportunities for encounters between Israeli and Los Angeles high school students.
