 A High High Holy Days Appetizer at Hollywood Temple Beth El                   Cantor Alexander Berkovich will offer a musical appetizer of beloved High Holy Days melodies at Hollywood Temple, Beth El, 1317 N Crescent Heights, in West Hollywood, on Saturday, September 5, 2015, during the course of services that start at 9:45 AM.                 Cantor Berkovich will once again bring his exceptional musical talent  to the Temple for this year’s Jewish New Years season. He was a noted opera singer in his native St. Petersberg, Russia, and sang at services at the famous Choral Synagogue there as well. He was ordained as Cantor from the Academy of Jewish Religion and has conducted Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at Hollywood Temple Beth El since 2010.                 Rabbi Norbert Weinberg, educator and writer, serves as the spiritual leader of the congregation and will teach the significance of the prayers behind the melodies that the Cantor will demonstrate.                 The public is invited to join the service.
