BAGELS! (the musical)

Tickets are now on sale for Bagels!, a new musical, with book and lyrics by Chana Wise and music by Carl Johnson. Bagels! is the almost-true story of the man who invented the automated bagel-making machine. This will be a barebones, workshop production presented by members of the 4 x 10 Ensemble along with other guest performers, and will run for eight performances beginning August 1st at New Musicals, Inc. (aka ANMT) 5628 Vineland Ave. in North Hollywood. Two of the eight performances will also be included as a part of Stages Musical Theatre Festival. Bagels! was a finalist in the Neil Simon Festival New Play Contest and features a score with influences from jazz to Klezmer.
