Discovery: Spotlight On the Inner Life In Poetry, Drama, & Aphorism

At the heart of the learning enterprise is discovery, an ongoing process that involves curiosity and questioning, exploring and evaluating. During this process, we find out who we are and how we got here, how our world functions, and upon whose shoulders we stand, a sense of right and wrong, what we owe to ourselves and to others. What often emerges from this process is a sense of wonder and reverence, gratefulness and an awareness of God. At times, our discoveries may be puzzling and even troubling. Whatever the reaction, the process of exploration often leads to enlargement of self and to personal growth. Leah will read selections, share reflections, and invite participation as we explore together her original poetry, drama episodes, and the world of Yiddish wisdom.
