Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Yiddish But Forgot to Ask Your Bubbie: A Friendly Gentile’s Guide

New York Yiddish theater stars and mavens Shane Baker and Amanda Miryem-Khaye Seigel guide you through the gamut of Yiddish culture in this eye-opening, entertaining, and educational program. You might know Yiddish is the language of the kitchen and juicy witty curses, but did you know it’s also the language of love and upsetting the social order? This program is suitable for all ages and the Yiddish-challenged!

A FREE event! You will have two chances to see this unique presentation: Thursday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Robertson Branch Library and Sunday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Library downtown. For more information, call 213-228-7388.
