Jewish Business Networking at JNET Hollywood

Nosh, schmooze, and make business connections at the June meeting of JNET Hollywood, the Jewish Business Networking Organization’s newest chapter—serving Hollywood, Hancock Park, Mid-City, and the surrounding community.

The featured speakers are JNET members Alex Kwechansky, specialist in business fraud analysis, resolution and prevention, on “What You Didn’t Know You Needed To Know About Business Fraud” and Ruth Segal Kay, community outreach representative for Concepts for Living, on “A Solution for Seniors Who Need Extra Care and Cannot Remain at Home.” In addition, each attendee will have the opportunity to give a 30-second introduction about their business.

JNET members include a diverse cross-section of professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, executives, and tradespeople from the private and public sectors. The organization is similar to a chamber of commerce but everyone is Jewish and the chapters meet at temples.

All are welcome as guests for two meetings and no RSVP is required. Bring lots of business cards! Light refreshments will be served. Event flyer at www.scribd.com/doc/313614819.

JNET Hollywood meets the first Monday night of each month (except for holidays) at Temple Israel of Hollywood. Chapter meetings consist of a couple of featured member speakers, 30-second introductions for all participants, business tips, refreshments, and the opportunity to network with other members and get to know them better in small-group “JNET Connect” get-togethers.

For more information, contact President Matthew Mishory at Hollywood@jnetonline.org or 310-956-0777.

ABOUT JNET: JNET is the premier professional networking organization within the Jewish community in Southern California. As a membership-based organization, JNET is committed to serving the needs of its increasing membership and facilitating the growth of business relationships throughout the Jewish community.

JNET began in 2005 in Conejo Valley as a way for local Jewish business owners to network and support each other’s businesses. Currently there are chapters in Bel Air, Hollywood, Pacific Palisades, Palos Verdes, Santa Monica, Tarzana (AM and PM), Thousand Oaks, Valley Village, West Hills, Westwood, and Woodland Hills. JNET’s Board of Directors recently approved a plan to expand the organization throughout the United States.

Annual membership dues are $85 and include admission to the monthly meetings of all 12 chapters as well as invitations to the summer and Chanukah mixers. In addition, members are eligible to do a 10-minute presentation about their business once every six months.
