Jewish World Watch’s “Walk to End Genocide”

On March 13th, hundreds will gather for Jewish World Watch’s (JWW) 4th annual Conejo Valley Walk to End Genocide at Temple Etz Chaim, which is part of the largest annual anti-genocide rallies in the United States. A wide-ranging, multi-faith coalition of policymakers, religious leaders, schools, and activists will join for a day of action, walking together to highlight the power of local communities to fight genocides and mass atrocities around the world.

Co-hosted by the United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks, The Walk to End Genocide will take place at Temple Etz Chaim, 1080 East Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, CA, 91360 from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.

The Walk to End Genocide reflects the unique diversity of the Conejo Valley – representatives of the Simi Valley, Moorpark, Woodland Hills, Thousand Oaks and Westlake communities will join with faith groups to bring attention to the plight of communities now faced with genocide and mass atrocities in Sudan and Congo. With the goal of inspiring and educating a new generation of local anti-genocide activists, the day’s activities will include advocacy booths, craft and activist opportunities, food, music, and information about each of the life-changing projects which JWW supports, all hosted at Temple Etz Chaim and United Methodist Church. The event will raise funds for anti-genocide educational and advocacy efforts in the United States, and to support on-the-ground projects that aid refugees and survivors of the conflicts in Sudan and Congo – more than $60,000 has been raised in the last three years.
