June Community Service Day – Gear Up For Camp Day
Our Community Service Days bring the community together for the opportunity to put Jewish values into action throughout greater Los Angeles. Working with a diverse group of our social service partners, we offer volunteers a variety of hands-on activities that make life better for our neighbors.
This is our third Community Service Day of 2018. We will be partnering with the Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles and Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus for this annual event. We start the morning indoors assembling camper care kits of necessities for campers to receive at the start of their camping experience. Then, we continue the fun outside assisting with activities to create a “day at camp” for new camper orientation.
There will be 3 more opportunities to volunteer throughout 2018. Be sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Community Service Days: August 12th, November 4th, and December 9th.
