Temple Etz Chaim will premiere a film-based educational program teaching people about Israel and Judaism

Temple Etz Chaim’s Adult Education department is launching Jerusalem University’s The Jewish Lens Mini-series. This four part cinematic mini-series goes behind the scenes of popular Hollywood movies and discovers Jewish wisdom, and explores Jewish influence and perspective on various Hollywood film genres. The first film in the series, Heroes in Action, explores the Jewish perspective on what makes ordinary people become great leaders, and will premiere during Selichot services, September 5th at 9:00pm. 

The program for the evening includes Havdalah on the plaza at 8:00 pm, a light, complimentary dinner at 8:15 pm, screening and discussion of Heroes in Action at 9:00 pm, coffee and cake sponsored by Sisterhood at 10:15 pm, and Selichot Services in the Sanctuary at 10:45 pm.
