The Commemoration of Kristellnacht at the Museum of Tolerance

Be part of this unique event organized on the occasion of the anniversary of Kristallnacht on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Museum of Tolerance.

The evening starts at 6:30 PM with a preview of the new exhibit on “Appeasement” curated by the Museum of Tolerance.

At 7:00 PM begins the evening of Antonín Moskalyk’s legacy with the screening of “A Prayer of Katerina Horovitzová”. Directed by Anotnín Moskalyk (1965, 67 min., in Czech with English subtitles) and screenplay by Arnošt Lustig, Antonín Moskalyk. Winner of First Prizes at Monte Carlo Film Festival, 1965 and Festival Prix Italia, 1965. Winner of eight other international prizes, including the Cannes Film Festival.

Then follows the panel discussion entitled “The Holocaust – A Lifetime Leitmotif for Arnošt Lustig’s Prose”: Moderated by Liebe Geft, Director of Museum of Tolerance, and special guests Eva Lustigová, daughter of Arnošt Lustig, and Ivan Passer, film director and friend of Arnošt Lustig.

The event is accompanied by art from Sondra Hersh’s exhibit “Virtues”.
