Yiddish songs by the French band, Les Yeux Noirs
They say the hand is quicker than the eye — but with Les Yeux Noirs, the hands might be quicker than the ears, at least if those hands belong to Eric and Olivier Slabiak. Both violinists, the real-life brothers front the Paris-based sextet and drive its infectious Gypsy-Klezmer-Yiddish sound with some of the fastest playing you have ever seen. Your ears might need a chance to catch up as this group dashes across a range of moods and styles at breakneck pace, creating an atmosphere that’s nothing short of exhilarating.
