World Alliance for Israel Hosts Julia Brownley (D-CA)

Please join World Alliance for Israel Political Action Committee (WAIPAC) for an enriching exchange of ideas with Congresswoman Julia Brownley. 



Representative Brownley serves California’s 26th district, including much of Ventura County and parts of the San Fernando Valley. She is the Ranking Member of the Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Health, and she also serves on the Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. 



On May 8, 2014, Brownley received the Small Business Council of Americas (SBCAs) 2014 Congressional Rising Star Award in recognition of the strong leadership she has demonstrated in her first term in Congress and her efforts on behalf of small businesses, including her sponsorship of H.R. 3640, the Innovation, Research, and Manufacturing Act, which would expand and make permanent the research and development tax credit. As a former Assembly Member in the California State Legislature, she was awarded numerous honors for her leadership in education and the environment. 



Brownley visited Israel in 2013 with American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF) , where she explored the U.S.-Israel relationship, the peace process, Israels security situation, and important political and economic trends in the region. She met with senior Israeli and Palestinian leaders and explore opportunities for bilateral economic and technological cooperation with the Israeli business community.
