We’re looking for 20 Jewish Los Angeles 11th graders whose desire to heal the world is as great as their passion to make it happen.

The Diller Teen Fellows program is an elite, action-oriented, teen-led leadership program with an international scope. Limited to only 20 Los Angeles participants, the year-long commitment includes skill building, social justice activities and a joint project with a parallel teen program in Israel. The program develops future generations of leaders who will be committed to the Jewish people, Israel and community service. It offers exceptionally-motivated 11th grade students an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the world.

And when it’s time to apply to college, having participated in a hands-on project of lasting social value on an international scale will make even the most accomplished student stand out.

Since its inception in 1998, the Diller Teen Fellows program has been successfully implemented in key communities around North America and Israel. As we commence the third year of the program in Los Angeles, our community’s teens now have the opportunity to learn, to grow and to heal the world in ways that they won’t find anywhere else. And when they graduate, Diller Teen Fellows will remain connected through the skills they develop and the bonds they forge.

The Program

  • Runs from fall 11th grade to fall 12th grade
  • Six to eight Sunday workshops
  • Three shabbaton retreats
  • Three evening programs
  • Three-week summer seminar in Israel (tentative dates July 7-28)
  • Visit from Israeli teens with home hospitality by
Diller Teen Fellows in Los Angeles tentatively scheduled for one week during the summer just prior to the Israel trip
  • Group and individual community service projects
  • $3600 (scholarships available)
